Hueristic is a free daily color-code logic puzzle that runs entirely in your web browser. There are no accounts and no sign-up. This policy explains what data the game uses, why, and the choices you have.

Information stored on your device

Your puzzle progress, statistics (such as streaks and win rate), and settings (such as language and theme) are saved in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device, is not tied to your identity, and is not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage will reset it.

Gameplay data we receive

When you submit a guess, it is sent to our server only so the code can be scored and so we can keep anonymous, aggregate counts (for example, the global solve rate for a given day). We do not ask for or store your name, email, or any other information that identifies you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the game is used (for example, how many people play and which puzzles are popular). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage and device information in an aggregated, non-identifying way. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display ads, which helps keep the game free.
